Dental implants are titanium posts which are placed in the bone to replace the roots of lost teeth. These allow natural part replace an artificial piece that works similar to a tooth. The implants can be used to replace from one tooth to the entire dentition. When they are restored with a fixed bridge, implants take on the role of the pillars of it. This type of restoration is considered the best alternative in many cases, but is usually the most expensive option to add a surgical component of the procedure.

Fixed restorations are the preferred alternative. But, like any dental procedure, it is necessary to study thoroughly the remaining bone quality and condition of the remaining teeth to reach an acceptable work plan for the patient.
